DESCRIPTION:Training session was organized at Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital Bannu under the Department of Cardiology and Quality and Patient Care on the occasion of World Hypertension Day. A large number of doctors\, TMO (Tehsil Medical Officers)\, medical officers\, house officers\, and nurses participated in the event. Experts shared important information regarding hypertension. \nEvery year\, May 17 is celebrated globally as Hypertension Day. The aim of celebrating World Hypertension Day is to spread awareness about blood pressure. This year’s theme is “Measure Your Blood Pressure Accurately\, Control It\, Live Longer.” High blood pressure plays a significant role in the increasing death rate worldwide\, and if it is not controlled in time\, it can lead to heart attacks and other complications. \nOn this occasion\, Professor Dr. Muhammad Nadeem highlighted the number of hypertension patients in the world and Pakistan in his presentation. He mentioned that hypertension (also known as high blood pressure) occurs when the pressure of blood against the walls of the arteries becomes excessively high. This is a condition that can be life-threatening or cause further harm if not addressed. \nAssistant Professor Dr. Syed Maqsood and Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Naseem\, along with House Officer Aisha\, also provided a detailed briefing about blood pressure in connection with this day.

The meeting was attended by Hospital Director Dr. Nek Muhammad Khan\, Medical Director Dr. Farman Ullah Wazir\, Additional Hospital Director Dr. Bismillah Khan\, Finance Director Waqas Ahmad Khan\, Director  Works  Engr.Ehsan Ullah\, Accounts Officer Mr. Awais Khan\, & HR Manager Raheel Khan. \nDuring the meeting\, comprehensive consultations were held regarding the arrangements for starting IBP across all the 03 hospitals phase-wise with KGN Hospital in the first phase. It was decided that special focus will be given to make successfull the IBP services in MTI Bannu being the spirit of MTI.

SUMMARY:Hospital Director and DHO Visit during Emergency Declared at Bannu DHQ Hospital after FC Line Attack
DESCRIPTION:Hospital Director\, Dr. Nek Muhammad Khan\, along with District Health Officer Dr. Zafar Iqbal\, visited the injured admitted at the District Headquarters Hospital. \nEarlier today\, as a result of an attack on the FC Line in Bannu\, seven people\, including the SHO\, were injured and immediately shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital. The medical staff present in the emergency department provided timely medical aid to the injured\, after which they were admitted to the wards and are under continuous observation. \nHospital Director Dr. Nek Muhammad Khan said on the occasion that an emergency has been declared in the hospital and all staff are on alert. He further stated that medicines and all other essential facilities for the treatment of the injured have been fully ensured. \nDistrict Health Officer Dr. Zafar Iqbal also inquired about the health of the injured and said that the Health Department will continue to take every possible measure to provide healthcare facilities to the public.

DESCRIPTION:Signing of a Memorandum of Understanding for the Promotion of Tree Plantation and Environmental Improvement at Bannu Medical College \n   \nThe Dean of Bannu Medical College\, Professor Dr. Muhammad Nadeem\, and the concerned officer of the North Waziristan Forest Division formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under mutual cooperation. \nA Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Bannu Medical College\, Bannu\, and the Forest Division\, Bannu\, to promote tree plantation\, environmental protection\, and educational and research collaboration. The objective of this MoU is to promote a green environment through the establishment\, development\, and effective management of nurseries on land provided by Bannu Medical College. \nUnder the agreement\, the North Waziristan Forest Division will be responsible for all matters related to the establishment of nurseries\, preparation of saplings\, their care\, and development\, while Bannu Medical College will provide suitable land and access facilities for the nurseries. The maximum number of saplings produced from the nurseries will be utilized for tree plantation and beautification within the medical college and its surrounding areas. \nOn this occasion\, it was also agreed that the nursery activities would support educational\, research\, and awareness initiatives\, and that even after the completion of the agreement period\, the developed infrastructure could continue to be used for environmental activities. Security of the nurseries and related areas will be ensured in accordance with the approved SOPs of Bannu Medical College. \nAccording to the administration\, this initiative is not only a positive step toward environmental improvement but will also play an important role in promoting a healthy and green educational environment for future generations.

DESCRIPTION:Hospital Director Dr. Iftikhar Ullah visited  Emergency Department of Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital\, Bannu. \nHospital Director MTI Bannu\, Colonel (R) Iftikhar Ullah\, reviewed process of providing immediate medical assistance in  Emergency Department of Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital\, Bannu. During an ongoing operation in  Domel area\, four civilians—two women and two children—were injured and brought to the hospital’s emergency department. He visited the injured patients and instructed  staff to ensure that all available medical facilities were provided to them. He expressed satisfaction that timely and quality medical care had already been delivered and stated that the hospital is fully prepared at all times to handle any emergency situation. \n        \nFollowing this\, Hospital Director Dr. Iftikhar ullah visited various hostels and residential areas of the hospital. He met with faculty members and doctors\, reviewed the residential facilities\, arrangements\, and overall standards\, and issued instructions to ensure better maintenance and effective management of the hostels. \nThese measures clearly reflects commitment that at MTI Bannu\,  safety of patients and staff\, prompt medical response\, and the provision of quality facilities remain top priorities.
