Chairman, Professor Dr. Saeed Ullah Shah’s Vision for “Theme 2027” at MTI Bannu

Chairman, Board of Governors, Prof. Dr. Saeed Ullah Shah, visited Bannu Medical College and MTI Bannu hospitals. He reviewed the arrangements made for patients, students, and staff, as well as developmental projects.

Dean Professor Dr. Sanaullah Khan, Hospital Director Dr. Ahmad Faraz, Medical Director Professor Dr. Mohammad Iqbal, Director of Acute Emergency Services Assistant Professor Dr. Khalid Naseem, and other relevant officials briefed him about the arrangements.

The “Theme 2027” has been launched to improve health services in MTI Bannu hospitals. The Board of Governors of MTI Bannu has officially initiated “Theme 2027” for the provision of standard health facilities and institutional development. This theme includes both short-term and long-term projects for Bannu Medical College and the three hospitals under MTI, aiming to ensure modern and effective medical services in line with international standards.

During his visit to Bannu, Chairman of the Board of Governors of MTI Bannu, Professor Dr. Saeed Ullah Shah, informed media representatives that Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital, District Headquarters Hospital, and Women and Child Hospital are providing medical facilities not only to Bannu but also to neighboring districts and patients coming from Afghanistan. Several revolutionary measures have been taken in these institutions in a short period, and their positive impacts are clearly visible.

He mentioned that before laying the foundation of “Theme 2027,” economic, clinical, and institutional audits were conducted in all three hospitals and Bannu Medical College to improve services according to international standards. Based on this audit, short-term and long-term projects have been designed, which are currently in progress, and it is expected that by 2027, a revolutionary change in the health sector will occur.

He further mentioned that “Theme 2027” includes several important projects, such as the establishment of a cath lab in teaching hospitals, a comprehensive rehabilitation center, College of Nursing, Institute of Medical Technology, MRI, CT scan, solarization of all three hospitals, and other developmental initiatives. The completion of these projects will not only lead to significant improvements in medical facilities but will also restore patients’ confidence.
