“World Pharmacists Day” organized at Khalifa Gul Nawaz Teaching Hospital, MTI Bannu

The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished individuals, including Hospital Director Professor Dr. Muhammad Akram, Medical Director Dr. Rafiq Ahmed, Professor Dr. Sanaullah, Professor Dr. Muhammad Nadeem Khan, Professor Dr. Alamzeb Dawar, Professor Dr. Haris Hameed, Nursing Director Zaifa Gul, Finance Director Altaf ur Rehman, Quality & Patient Safety Manager Attiq ur Rehman, along with the pharmacy staff and hospital employees.

The ceremony began with a recitation of the Holy Quran. Chief Pharmacist Hayatullah Khan Wazir initiated the session by highlighting the importance of celebrating World Pharmacists Day, which is observed on September 25th globally. He emphasized the crucial role that pharmacists play in ensuring the health and well-being of people. He further stressed the need for pharmacists to provide complete guidance to patients about medications, so they not only purchase the correct medicine but also understand its proper usage.
Hospital Director Professor Dr. Muhammad Akram, addressing the ceremony, stated that pharmacists are responsible individuals who serve as a bridge between doctors and patients. They play a trustworthy role by ensuring the timely delivery of the right medications and providing full information about their use to patients.
On this occasion, Nursing Director Zaifa Gul remarked that the pharmacist’s job is vital, as they use their expertise to inform patients about the potential risks and effects of medications. This day encourages pharmacists worldwide to continue their work with passion and dedication, helping patients understand the benefits and effects of their prescribed treatments.
